35 people became sick in a feast of Nwaran in Gajuri rural municipality-4, Gairigaun on Sunday.
The incident took place in the Nwaran of the daughter of a local Anil Chepang making some relatives and neighbours sick as reported by Bijaya Chepang to online media on telephone.
Right after feasting, some people begun to feel dizzy, vomit, and some other became unconscious who would sit silently. Additionally, some people were reported to be scared, screaming and shouting around.
Around 100 people were engaged in the feasting. First, a priest Shukra Bahadur Chepang and a helper in the kitchen Birsing Chepang consumed food there and they shared about how they felt dizziness after eating food.
Varieties of foods like rice, pulses, potato curry, meat etc. were served in the feasting. According to Birsing, alcoholic drinks were also served there.
The victims were facilitated with First aid and they will be taken to hospital if needed as added by the chair person of the ward Surendra Chepang.
