Dhading- Miss Nepal winner Namrata Shrestha is scheduled to arrive in Dhading on Monday before leaving for the United States representing Nepal in the Miss World pageant.
As per the rules made by the organizer to participate in ‘Miss World’, the contestants have to do a social work in their country. To qualify as a constestant, Shrestha constructed a suspension bridge in Neelakantha Municipality-2 across the Thoppal river which connects Sankosh and Basaha. Namrata along with the manager of The Hidden Treasure Diwakar Raj Karnikar is coming to Dhading to inaugurate the bridge.
“The construction work has been finished.” Namrata said to Dhadingpost, “The mayor of the municipality Bhim Prasad Dhungana will be inaugurating the bridge amidst the programme.” When she was in grade three, her science teacher asked her what she would like to become in future and she had replied,”Miss Nepal”.
From an early age, her inclination towards Miss Nepal began to grow. From 8th and 9th grade, she started to learn more about it. Finally, she surpassed the 20 contestants in the final competition of Miss Nepal and Namrata Shrestha was crowned Miss Nepal World 2020. After this, Namrata got the opportunity to participate in the Miss World 2020-21.
The competition will feature beauties from 130 countries. Three people have won the Miss World from Nepal so far.
Namrata, who is also a kindergarten teacher, is scheduled to leave for the United States on 18th Nov to represent Nepal in the Miss World.
